Baron De Térillac is a libertine in his fifties determined to give up a life of debauchery to enjoy the affection of his family. The nephew, in fact, has just married a young woman who seems to be the embodiment of goodness and this leads the Baron to delude himself that he can become, for his nephew and his acquired relatives, the object of attention and care until the end of his days. The reality, however, is very different and the Baron, assisted by the inseparable domestic, will find himself fighting against the hysteria, hypocrisy and selfishness of his relatives that will completely upset his life.
